Zynga customer support – catching up

I’m happy to report that zynga is now handling all cs tix within 72 hrs. Our team has worked hard to keep up with the growth in our game userbase. Zynga now has nearly 200 cs reps across 3 continents responding to our customers.

If you have an outstanding issue that remains unresolved pls resubmit to our cs.

    I am encouraged to hear that the tix are being closed so rapidly. However I would like to point that they are being closed out without resolution.
    I am sorry to have to contact you here, but feel I have no other recourse. Please note the response times and generic and somewhat inappropriate replies.
    I am going to copy and paste my actual ticket with your customer service department. It was closed sometime this afternoon without resolution or further contact, 8 days past my last communication with your department. I admire Zynga, I like what you have to say in your blog. I hope you stand behind your word and will help see this situation resolved fairly.
    As background for readers unfamiliar with the Vampire Wars application, players have an option to reallocate their stats, though each time they do the price of the reallocation doubles. The first time is 30 favor points, second 60, third 120, etc.

    This evening, June 3 around 8pm Eastern time I went to reallocate my stats in VW via Facebook. I entered my stats, pressed the continue button (unsure exactly of the phrase.) I received a msg saying something like the Elders thank you. I went to my coffin page and my stats were exactly as they were before yet my 60 favor points are missing.
    I know there have been glitches in the game lately.
    I would like my stats reallocated please. I both purchased and earned those favor points. I paid for a product I did not receive.
    I understand from the clan wall and forum this is happening to several people. However some are reporting an option to reallocate appears on their coffin. This is not the case in mine.
    To be clear, I want to reallocate. I do not want 60 points back unless the cost of reallocation is reset back to 60. It is currently listed as 120 as if I successfully reallocated just now.

    I am already aware of how to get favor points. I have purchased them. I have done surveys and accepted offers from your sponsors in order to earn them. I have earned them by playing the game.
    The issue here is that I attempted to use these favor points that I have purchased and earned. I attempted to reallocated my stats. I used the elder page. I redistributed my stats in the manner I wanted and spent my favor points doing so.
    HOWEVER MY STATS DID NOT CHANGE! My stats are right back to where they were before I spent my favor points and the cost of reallocation has now doubled for me as if this was successful.
    I am reporting a glitch in the game – at least I hope it is a glitch and Zynga is not just taking favor points for nothing.
    I spent these points on a reallocation that I did not receive. It would be no different than if I spent them on a rare ability and did not receive that ability.
    It has been over a week. I am not the only one experiencing this. It has been discussed on the clan wall.
    I would like the reallocation I have paid for.

    I appreciate the update on the issue but 60 favor points will not resolve the situation.
    I spent 60 favor points to reallocate my stats. Doing so caused the cost of reallocating to increase to 120 points.
    I am planning to evamp. The cost of allocating back to a fighting vamp will therefore be 240 points. Each subsequent reallocation has also doubled. I would need a bare minimum of 120 favor points to reallocate now. To be made whole -if I never reallocate again after this- I would need is 180.
    I have already paid for this stage of reallocating. I did NOT receive it.
    I would like the allocation I have paid for. Would it not be simpler to just keep your favor points and allow me the allocation I HAVE PAID FOR?
    I did not cause this glitch. I did not set the payment scale that causes each reallocation to cost double with use. I should not be penalized because of the error in the game. It was no fault of my own.
    Please fix this glitch and allow me the allocation I have paid for.

    Today, 6/25 the ticket was marked “Solved.” I certainly do not consider the matter solved. I paid for a product I did not receive and though I was refunded the original price, my new price if I should try again has doubled. The price for players who have not encountered that particular glitch that evening has not doubled.
    Vampire Wars is a wonderful game. I have recommended it to many friends. The basis of any game however is fair play. When you combine this situation with the still missing points from the trophy rollout and the glitch in the wheel that has cursed players for near on 5 weeks, I (and others) begin to doubt to possibility of fairplay.
    Again, I laud the quicker response times, tho I question whether closing a customer support ticket without a valid resolution is actually a response. It is more the virtual equivilant of taking the items out of your inbox, tossing them in the trash and considering the matter concluded.
    I love the Vampire Wars application, I love social gaming in general. For the most part Zynga is the leader in this field.

  3. I have to agree with Catherine’s first post – the so-called “responses” are not “resolutions”. I don’t know what you have in mind when you say that customer tickets are “being handled” within 72 hours (I notice you don’t say “resolved”, but I can attest to them NOT being handled “appropriately”.
    I play pirates – my “bounty list” has been missing for many weeks now. This is not just my problem alone – it seems that *everyone* (or at least a good number of them) that accesses that particular bounty list can no longer get to it. Our home pages currently show that there are over 2,400 (!) bounties waiting to be claimed yet no one that normally sees this list (server based?) can get to them.
    I submitted a ticket to the Zynga support site (Incident: 090615-001411) on June 15th. First, it took 5 days to “respond”; second, all it said was “Your report will be forwarded to our team”; and third, it was excessively annoying because it told me “Remember, we can better help you when you help us by using our support site at http://www.zynga.com/support” <—this is how I *DID* submit my comment – duh! WORST OF ALL: it told me it would close and consider the problem resolved if I did not take action to update the ticket.
    This wasn't acceptable to me so on 6/22 I wrote back, saying nothing was resolved – on 6/24, I got almost the same message from Zynga although this time who-ever wrote it thought I was giving a suggestion – here's what it wrote: "We really appreciate your feedback and ideas. Thanks so much. We are forwarding them to the team." THIS IS PATRONIZING AND MORE ANNOYING THAN JUST SAYING "NOTED".
    Again, I would not let it close and responded. Your customer service rep then graciously wrote "There may be a simple solution to your problem. Here are some things you can try:" and continued on to list restarting the facebook session, browser and computer; reinstalling the ap, reinstalling the browser; AND EVEN updating the operating system! Others with this problem on the discussion boards have been told by your customer service reps that they should reinstall Adobe.
    These were utterly inappropriate and ridiculous responses. I use 3 different computers – bounty list gone on all. It has been missing for WEEKS – I clearly have restarted the game, browser, facebook numerous times since then – still gone. Lastly I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE MISSING THEIR BOUNTY BOARD. I wrote this back, not letting this ticket close – I almost immediately got a reply from Zynga that said THE EXACT SAME MESSAGE AS THE FIRST INAPPROPRIATE RESPONSE I GOT: "We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issues quickly, and to improve the game. Your report will be forwarded to our team."
    Do you customer service reps EVEN CHECK to confirm a problem? Is your customer service reps' measure of success how quickly they respond with any ole' message, or is their performance measure how *quickly a technical issue gets resolved*? The Bounty List is a major component of Pirates gameplay – and for many of us, it's been missing a goooood lloooooonnnng time. Fix it.
    Bottom line: responding "quickly" is not valuable to your users if it is not responding "appropriately" – and – "Being handled" does mean your customers are being "taken care of"…

    Nice to see you have sorted out the blind skipping. Is it possible you can add a rebuy button so you don’t have to stand up every time you bust out?
    And as it is a cash game you should be able to sit out for lets say 5 hands or 5 minutes with out standing up and if the blind passes you then you pay the big blind as you would in a real cash game. I hope to see the buttons there soon.

  6. I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to contact Zynga with my complaints. For the past 2 months whenever I spin Many gives me Witch’s curse. When I go to deposit if it says I have 4,000 then I go to deposit 4,000 and it says I cannot deposit because I do not have 4,000 and it will let me deposit 3,999. My VW invite does not work. Also I would like to know exactly how many clan are we allowed to have so as to avoid receiving a pink slip. I would also like to know if you are going to take our premonitions again at some point in time as I believe that is unfair as we get rid of other abilities as we get premonitions in order to be strong in attacking and/or defending. I enjoy playing VW, however, with all of these problems as well as with losing all these clan members because they are supposedly “cheating” it is becoming less and less enjoyable. I would like to purchase some products in order to get more favor points but if the game is becoming less and less enjoyable then I will not be doing this.   7. Sorry Mark…If you have been told tickets are being sorted in 72 hours, you have been lied to.
    I have one which has been in the system for 2 weeks and I have updated the question 4 times. I’ve even sent the same report direct to one of your staff and have had no response at all.
    There is an automated reply to your ticket which does reach you within 72 hours but beyond that, there seems to be no response at all.
    As reported by Catherine….I am not the only one this is happening to. I have never heard of an issue being solved within 2-3 weeks. Some of these issues are quite serious such as harassment and personal threats within the games.
    Several months ago you were good enough to take the time to send me a personal email to apologise….I was thoroughly impressed you took the time to do that. Can’t say the same for some of your staff though.

Actually I am not complaining so much as suggesting.I play several ZYNGA games and two of them drive me to the point of throwing things:Street Racing and Mafia.I like to do the personal challenge friend races in SR everyday.I have 19 pages and the game needs refreshing very often then getting back to the page one was on takes too long,same with sending Energy Boosts on Mafia.Can you not change this to a little pick your page box type of thing instead of clicking over many times?Type in page number and go there or if there was a way for game refreshes to take one to the last page one was on.

  11. WSOD. This is what i have to do every 8 hours on the dot 🙂
    To kick start the game again, Open about 6 windows all with that link ( http://apps.facebook.com/piratesrule/recruit.php ) then hit the visit davey jones page or hit the button health.
    It will give you the error screen WSOD as soon as it does use the recurit link again.
    Do this back and forth for about 10 mins (should be shorter) and the game will kick start ( thats when you will see the davey jones page working ). But it will come back around 8 hours later just do this again and away you go.Reply to Your Post

  12. I am glad to hear issues are being resolved so quickly. I am on the slowest server I think as it is still an ordeal every day just to get on to Pirates. Then deal with the white screens for sometimes hours.
    I have a ticket still open from back in April that has never been resolved. I lost 23 roasting pits and over 2 billion in gold during that huge glitch. CS has e-mailed me with no resolution. I have asked for my pits and my credit. It has never been done. Any idea when I can expect this???

    First off, I’m a relative newbie of two months to Zynga games, but I’d like to say what a brilliant concept you guys came out with; social gaming rocks!
    Secondly, I appreciate you can only deal with so many customer support issues in a time period and are working hard to resolve them.     I’m being harassed by a small group of bullies and have supplied screenshots and relevant information, pretty much on a 24/7 basis.
    Sorry to say, but I think I’m going to ask for my Zynga account to be deleted, as I’m despairing. Which is a shame because there are some really great gamers on your websites, some I’ve played against have become friends. But it seems you just can’t win against the cheats and bullies.

Been trying to get an answer from Zynga, Double Ding and FB on missing points for DJ for joining World Winner game site. Zynga keeps reporting they have an abnormal high volume of requests. Double Ding says I have no account with world winner. Here is all the information I have. both Zynga and Double ding have had this information for quite some time.

  17. Hi Mark thanks for the help on the WSOD issue, They have got in contact with me and i hope it will be a help. But as i don’t like to bother you but i feel this is a major problem. This is my ticket 090629-008223 with Billing issue. I had two breaches in my credit card on the 29th june that i had nothing to do with. I have been informed by my end to leave it to Zynga hands.     so now it’s July 5, 2009 at 110am (EST) and this is what i find on my vamps new update. just more evidence of the continuing harassment. i notice a change in their position they have now started creating myspace accounts and are making them private so that the friends cannot be viewed as with teh others which showed clear and convincingly by who the friend/friends were who was controlling this harassment which i now categorize as a conspiracy and constitutes a conspiratorial harassment issue that needs to be addressed by zynga. i realize it is a holiday weekend but i expect to be contacted by zynga next week sometime either by email or telephone 850-339-9553 to discuss what zynga is going to do about this situation that is totally out of control. this redkillaset and pandora (and whatever the other part of her name is now since she thinks changing it somehow changes who the person is??) need to be dealt with by zynga and at this point nothing short of expulsion from zynga games is a reasonable solution. they have continued this day after day after day. i stopped leaving them messages to leave me alone but they have produced nothing but the results that this messages contnues to grow by. maybe this one will be the one which qualifies for guinness book of world records for the longest harassment complaint NOT to be resolved by zynga. and every day that passes only makes my impression of your company that much less.

    that has been ongoing harassment for over a week now. when is zynga going to take some action against offenders, repeat offienders if i might add, to stop this type of action. i am not the only person out there having to dal with this and it should be put to an end and they should be terminated for cintnuited violations of the rules regarding harassment. look at the myspace friends list. they are all there, except TOM. there should not need to be any other evidence of the conspiraacy acts they are engaged in that constitute my harassment claim. it is time for zynga to show they mean what they say and take action NOW.

  22. i play the pirates game and there is a guy who was on the bounty list so playing the game i attacked him and got the 680mill bounty. since then he has attacked me relentlessly and has put me on the bounty list more than 15 times. he has left rude and nasty comments and has stated that he has just started. how do i go about reporting this harassment?

    I sent a message earlier stating that I had completed multiple surveys there. I got this in my email after complaining to Super Rewards.
    “Super Rewards is not a guaranteed service. Unfortunately, some users do not qualify. Thank You for your participation. We apologize that we are unable to display new offers to your user account.”
    In other words they chose not to honor their side of the deal as well as blocking me from the application completely.
    Why does Zynga deal with such an incredibly shady operation like Super Rewards????

  25. Oh my gosh!!.. I get so frustrated with what seems to be automated responses to something submitted to CS !! I am not able to post or see a bounty on my board! .. If someone else posts on my board or network as CS has called it .. I should be able to see that bounty posted and attempt to collect it .. but the board DOES NOT WORK! .. how much more clear can I possibly be? .. I am NOT asking to change networks .. I am begging for mine to be fixed .. .. what do I have to do for someone to understand? for the last day and yesterday evening .. NOBODY ON MY NETWORK can post, see , or thus claim a bounty that anyone has set because the posts do not show up for anyone.. I know this to be true because my wife can log into her account without difficulty access the bounty board on her account.. same computer .. .. so why do I get treated like an idiot by CS?

  26. I USED to play Pirates until Zynga removed the ability to post and claim your own bounties. I have a ticket in where I asked a simple question: Is this intentional and will it remain this way? Of course I got 2 generic answers (log out/log back, reinstall Adobe, reinstall Ap, reinstall operating system) and then an “elevation to another level of customer service” message – then silence for days. I removed the application.
    I read above that you respond to someone posting this exact problem and say “the bounty lists aren’t down” – you really must work hard to pick and choose your words so carefully. I notice that the Scott did not complain about the bounty boards “being down” and not see any bounties at all – he clearly states that he could no longer see the bounties THAT HE SETS. Big difference. Seems a simple question: did Zynga intentionally remove the ability to stake & claim your own bounty or not? If it is intentional and, as Scott heard from the CS folks, it is not going to be reinstated in the future, why not announce this on the boards somewhere or within the game? Why keep everyone guessing and wondering – that’s part of what ticks people off. I too would like to be contacted “directly to iron out the confusion” – frankly I don’t see what “the confusion” is – either you did or you didn’t remove this functionality – period. End of story.

    You had responded to me last post that the bounty boards aren’t down. Someone from cs will be contacting you directly to iron out the confusion. Where some bounty boards are still functioning, ours has been down for four days now. CS responded with their standard “we know there is a problem and we are workin hard to fix it. This morning I received this standard message.

    I just wanted to comment on your post regarding support response times. Whilst this may be accurate I have to say that when the responses seem to be driven by an autmated system of some sort I would hardly count that as being any sort of success. I have 2 tickets which have been open now for over 2 WEEKS and still there has been no answer to my issues. One of them is pretty trivial I admit but the other is far more important and revolves around the ‘statement’ regarding Mafia Wars players having to be friends before they can be in your mafia. Surely this must apply the other way round? If someone has to be your friend before they are allowed into your ‘family’, then surely they must remain your friend if they wish to stay there.
    My support issue was regarding those players who simply add friends to ‘boost’ their family numbers and then remove you from their friends list. I would like to remove them from my Mafia if they are not on my friends list and stop them from ‘using’ me to top up numbers or for any ‘other’ use that they may have. Why cant i do this? Why havent support successfully answered my question? Why do your so-called ‘support’ team think that it is ‘ok’ to send out a generic response that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the question, it just shows complete disregard for your clients and is a total waste of my time and theirs (and yours now!). I would rather them not bother at all, in fact I think you would be better off sacking the so-called ‘support’ team and saving yourself some money! I have spent nearly 20 years in IT and understand the difficulties involved with supporting large enterprise systems, but the support that your team is giving is quite honestly laughable and if this is any representation of the quality of people that you employ then I sincerely hope that you can do something to improve things before the whole thing spirals out of control.

With respect to removing a Pirate’s ability to stake and claim his/her own bounty, I got a message from CS saying that we are no longer able to see our OWN BOUNTIES because people were using it to attack people. WELL, HELLO! That’s part of the game – a major feature. Number of “Keels” is a performance measure for gosh sakes!! Now the ability to do this ourselves is gone!
    OK, so now, may I suggest you visit your own forums – the Pirates discussion – and see an thread titled “Open Letter to Pirates” wherein the author describes how, in the absence of the ability to set/claim your own bounties, marauding hoards have formed to attack/bounty/claim bounties on entire fight lists! Seems so much meaner and uglier and vicious than being able to set / collect one’s own bounties, don’t you agree? Unintended consequences? Tell me, do you guys think these changes through?

    Oh the changes…well, as many have stated, you can no longer set and take your own bounties. In my opinion, this has resulted int the exact opposite behavior than was intended. Now, instead of single players setting and taking bounties, there are bounty teams out there…setters who put up bounties on the boards..and takers who knock em down. More Pirates are being keeled than ever before because of this change.
    I am of the opinion that Zynga simply doesn’t understand the mindset of the players playing Pirates. They are trying to actually live the life of a pirate, and the game, as it once was, was the closest thing to that they could find. That included keeling your own bounty..(even though it really is silly to have to set a bounty to keel..you should be able to go for a keel in every battle, as a real pirate would).
    Regardless of that, most have accepted that change is permanent..especially since it’s reflected in most other Zynga games.
    The latest change seems to involve the fight algorithms. Seems they have changed as well. Nobody, of course, knows for sure, but it would be nice if there was some form of info on how fighting actually is calculated.
    And I will also say.your 72 hour marker may be dead on for problems and issues Zynga CHOOSES to deal with..but i have a ticket open for over 3 weeks now. But I am sure it’s just because they do not wish to deal with the issues I raised.
    I’ll say this clearly…the courtesy and attention Zynga shows is next to non-existent. It’s short sighted..for the company would vastly broaden it’s revenue stream if it actually found a way to make the players..god forbid..happy!

    Sorry to bother you once again, but I havent received any sort of response to my question i posted a couple of days ago. For what it’s worth neither have I received any sort of response from your so called support team.
    Why wont you do something about this? It is a shame that a great game such as mafia Wars is blighted by the constant problems and issues that occur on a regular basis, something that is made even more frustrating by the complete lack of any sort of reasonable support from any of your employees.
    Please do something to resolve the issues within the game, such as the inability to gift due to one’s mafia not showing, such as not being able to remove members.
    A suggestion, instead of your people constantly trying to plug loopholes in your game that allow other people to create simple programs to find and utilise to improve our gameplay, why dont you talk to these so-called hackers and employ them as your programmers? I am absoluetly certain they could do a considerably better job than the majority of your current team, in fact I would imagine they would save you a heap of cash and a load of your time!

  37. Have been repeatedly keeled and bullied by this pirate for no reason. Since the change in bounty rules he has scripted (cheated) to take his own Bounties in PRTC, and has done this numerous other times (to me and my crew) since the new rules went into effect — he does this knowing that he can attack us but none could not repay the favor. His last homosexual taunt I can no longer tolerate. I would ask that he be removed from the game as well as the infamous list (that he so proudly has just attained) since obviously many of his keelhaul stats have been scripted and he has cheated to attain them. I have jpg screenshots if you need further proof, but i will just copy and paste what he has done to me in the past few hours…

  39. Multiple emails sent, and limited responses. Zynga is partially responding…but it is canned response with NOTHING being done about what is being reported to them.
    The TOS is NOT being enforced. No steps are being taken to cover us, not only as the players, but also those of us that are paying players. I am not getting anything resolved, which is my protected rights under the TOS, as well as Facebook. Trying to get either to respon and take action is opening the venue for a massive lawsuit. Right now, I would NOT hesitate to sign my name on that ticket.
    All I ask is do what you say you are going to do. With how you run things right now, I can violate EVRY aspect opf your TOS and you will take no steps to correct it.
    Zynga will implode if it does not do something about this. I feel they have failed in the quality, as well as the responive aspects that any GOOD business should have.

    Why has Zynga taken my chips away when I have not done anything wrong? Is Zynga taking chips from ppl to resell it again to make a profit? Is Zynga a dodgy set up? In your Texas Hol’dem Blog Jessica made a comment ” we are here to ensure safe and fair play for everyone” wht is all this when Zynga cant even bloody tell the difference from who selling and purchasing chips illegally and who is actually helping out a buddy in need. Better still explain to all of us why our chips are disappearing from our account? I worked hard for it and it is my favourite past time. After looking after my 2 year old the entire day the only thing i looked fwd to is a game of poker.I have met a lot of friends and I have enjoyed myself until today. Is a game for fun and Zynga has not only taken the FUN out of the game but Zynga has also allowed members of staff taking chips away from us and reselling it perhaps even illegally too.I have reported to your so called “customer service” and my guess is it will take 7 bloody days to get back to me. I had 3.7M and now I have 66K. With your new system of sending chips to your friends is really frustrating. My buddy cant even send me bigger amount when I really need them after what happened to me today. Common sense please do you think sending 500K and to receive only 100K per week is enough?So what cooperation you need from us when Zynga is not giving us any?

    Sorry to come to you again but can you see if your customer service is dealing with my ticket. I understand it may take a little time to sort out but all I have had from CS is we need your full profile ID as I forgot to put the numbers on the end and to lower my privacy settings. I sent that back the same day and have heard nothing since even if your CS sent an email just saying “we are dealing with your ticket but it may take some time to deal with so please be patient” would be better than not hearing anything at all. Well that is my little rant and rave over like I say sorry to get in your ear Mark as I know you have lots of work to be getting on with.

  44. I have been emailing CS almost daily for over a week asking about my missing reward points in Mafia Wars. There has been no response since the initial ticket canned response that assigned an incident number (Incident: 090723-007694). I’m feeling like another ripped off customer. I plan to pursue this to higher levels if I don’t get some resolution very soon.

  45. Hi Mark thanks on you help with the WSOD issue, As soon as i mentioned it here they where all over me. Got asked a lot of questions i supplied them with a lot of info. Back and forth from me to them and to the devs as well. All good so you would think, I got a message saying all info was passed on a little bit later a message no answer was blar blar, so it has been marked off as solved. There was at no point a message asking me to respond to them just that the info was passed on to the devs and i was waiting for a response to anything. Even one saying that they where working on the problem and will keep me updated.
    I have thousands of pirates asking me because they have got no where asking them themself, Is there any info when is this going to be fixed. I seem to spend most of my time trying to help players get into the game.

    I’m hoping that you can help me. I lodged a complaint on 15th May after clicking the ‘News’ link within the Zynga application Texas Hold Em poker on Facebook. My requests to resolve this matter were largely ignored, only for me to discover 3 months after the event that my 1.37 billion chips couldn’t be traced and I was left with next to nothing, after over a year building them up!!
    To say the least, I find this outrageous. If any of your Customer Services team investigated this fully, they would be able to see exactly what happened, the problem occurred with many players that same day and I provided specific evidence of the problem and included screen shots.
    For it to take so long with such an unfair outcome I personally find shocking and I trust you will do whatever necessary to assist.

  50. Hi Mark. I can’t back you up here. I emailed you my ticket # of which you were going to forward on to Bruce. I received an email on 7/31(120 hours ago at this point) stating I would be receiving a full refund yet i’ve been unable to speak to anyone with ANY authority since. I’ve even emailed you again along with Bruce and the others who were CC’d on your email to me and have gotten NO reply from you, them or anyone else at Zynga. I’ve called in 4x and gotten the same answer…”we can’t transfer you, they don’t have phone lines” What in the world is that all about? I simply want someone to call me so I can make arrangements for the refund and find out when it should be arriving. It is almost 8 weeks now i’ve been at this and still have nothing. Why is it so difficult to get anyone to speak to us? This could be over and done with. If you would kindly assist me, I would like my refund sent to my paypal account as i’ve had to close my checking account. My paypal email is the same as I sent you in my previous email to you. I really need this refund asap. Thank you once again.
    Oh, and one final note, i’ve made your C.S. department aware several times, i’m still receiving emails where i’m CC’d on OTHER players email replies to their trouble tickets. I’ve gotten about 10 or 12 of them to date that were meant for someone else.

    recently my picture and usernickname disappeared, and was replaced with a generic
    red zynga logo, and name replaced with a

    My profile settings are unchanged ,whats more I see many,many players exp. same problem, -ALL on yahoo network only-
    Can someone look into this, as it looks like there is a serious interface problem
    with the yahoo application and texas holdem poker.

    I am writing with yet more problems for the Pirates: Rule the Caribbean game. I spent 3 days not being able to even get in, since then I can not hire anyone to work my island. I can not go to my crew’s islands and help out, I can not get to my home page and energy boosts are not accessible. There is no “new property” as the update states.
    I have wrote every day about my issues and tried to keep Zynga updated. They finally answered back yesterday, via automated response, after a week, and said it had been escalated.
    It has now been over 2 months since I have been able to get in my just clicking on the pirates link. I have to use a recruit page to try to get in. This process is anywhere from 10 minutes up to several hours. This has been reported and NEVER addressed.
    I have a friend and high level player who has been patient, tried reporting, tried every suggestion from others and has not been able to access the game in any way for over 2 months. He has been playing since the beginning and has always been fair and helpful to all others.
    Is there any reason to believe that Zynga ever intends to fix these issues and make the game playable again?
    When reports go unanswered as well as pleas for help, to get back into the game, it is hard to believe that Zynga or anyone cares or ever intends to even try to fix this mess.

The number is plastered all over my account as i’ve been begging to speak to someone besides your customer service reps from the very beginning. I’m not putting down your company but I am saying that your employee’s incompetence certainly isn’t helping Zynga’s image. PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA TELEPHONE ASAP!
    P.S. For your CSR’s to tell me your accounting department doesn’t have telephones is utterly ridiculous. Please give them a new script to replace that one.

If you happen to have around 1000 to 2000 plus friends, it could be an issue with too many friends on your Facebook account. A lot of friends leads to a lot of active connections, especially through applications.
    At this point, all I need is to get information from you and make sure we can stop any possible common problems. Before we can help you, we would need your your social network ID.     My Facebook account has been disabled and I am unable to retrieve all of my time and energy I have put into playing Mafia Wars. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me and I was working on rebuilding my character in Mafia Wars, but *BAM* I go thru this again. Facebook has been targeting users of Mafia Wars just for adding friends. I am not a hacker nor am I in any way an abusive player. I currently have a petition to have my account restored with Facebook and have also sent Facebook requests to restore my account. Unfortunately, they do not wish to go into specifics. I will be glad to provide you with any additional information that you need to get my account either transferred over to my new Facebook account or to restore my account that was taken away from me by Facebook. Please, any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I have already sent an email to Chris Hinton just today and am awaiting a response hopefully with some good news. I have spent over $300.00 in the past month with Zynga just to advance my character in Mafia Wars. Please, please, I am begging you. Please help me out here.

    I was directed to you to ask you a question I’m sure you have been asked before. I am a member of one of the tagged Mafia families that play Mafia Wars on Facebook. One of my family members has had his account disabled due to…yes, you guessed it…adding too many friends too quickly and diregarding the pink boxes. What are the best steps we, as his mafia family and friends, can take to try and help him? Can Zynga help in any way? He is a very valuable member of our family and a huge gift giver (his gift-giving was, in fact, what we first thought got him disabled). He’s a generous person and all-around nice guy and our family would be hurt by the loss of his account. It is hard for a lot of us to understand how Facebook can punish people for adding many friends quickly when that is a huge part of strategy in Mafia Wars gameplay. It is as if they don’t offer a lot of support to those of us who play.

    All I get is multiple emails(below) requesting info they already have.or tickets marked “solved”
    The good news; by posting on this blog a CS rep(Pepper) contacted me personally by email and at least informed me that he found I was experiencing a known issue with Texas Holdem on the MyYahoo platform(profile displayed with red zynga logo and username replaced by player_13700968)so thanx again Pepper!
    Hopefully this issue will be corrected soon??- been this way since 7/16/2009

    Good eve Mark. Just wondering if work being done on pirates or something. So many glitches and so slowwwwwwww for 4 days now. it hardly worth playin. My two sister live 1200 miles away and we play Pirates and chat daily now. Would hate to lose a game I enjoy and the time spent chatin with my sisters. We have a blast.

  65. I am writing in regards to your customer service. Me, my husband, and friend were all wrongly banned by Chris. We were unbanned by him then on 8-5 my friend and husband were banned again. We submitted a ticket. We were all helped by a lady named Pepper. She was very professional and very nice. I wish all customer service reps were like her. She is definitely a keeper. We were put through a lot on Fashion Wars but she got to the bottom of this in a quick , professional manner. She’s the best in our book!

  66. Have to second that one on Pepper–she was quite helpful. I try not to be a serial complainer — I do ask the occasional question about glitches I have noticed. Just want to say that i appreciate being listened to eventually. I am willing to compromise and see my own own wants versus needs, and I am beholding to you Zynga for the hours of gaming fun (in spite of some frustrations), the ability to meet new people, and as of late for making me feel like some one out there actually reads (and weighs) the things that are sent in. Kudos to ya — I know you don’t get a lot of positive feedback, but thats the kinda pirate i am 🙂
    keep trying to improve the game and make it a social scene that doesn’t let things get too out of hand and you will continue to have hits on your hands…I appreciate it, and my hats off to Pepper.

I had some issues with people adding themselves into my account, my purchase of god father points being disabled and your system disabling my account from Mafia Wars all together. As things progressed over the past month my frustration grew and my fondness for Zynga hit its lowest point. This morning I lost it and to my surprise and amazement…Zynga customer service corrected every issue I had. I had the best experience ever today. Mark you need to give your Customer Service staff a raise. They did awesome today without mentioning names (Amber and Ramon). I really hope this is the turning point in Zynga, today really showed me what customer service was all about. Bang up job! Scott

    Love the recent upgrades but we can’t figure out how you (if ever) change from Scallyway to Swashbuckler to Buccaneer and so on. I have done all the missions 3 times taken out all the “bosses” and at my level I still have yet to get rid of the word Scallywag? How come?

    I would first like to thank you with an earlier problem with Yoville. You get results, unlike the Zynga support staff. That is the reason I am coming to you now. My wife and I both play the FB version of Farmville. While we both believe it to be a great game, and both find joy in our game time. However, I have recently sent two messages to support about the fact that our edit/delete tool hasn’t worked since we started playing. Thus making the game kind of complacent and boring. It doesn’t work on either of our accounts, and we have tried Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Safari and Opera…all with no success. We have even gone as far as trying on different computers. This told me it was the game itself. So I followed protocol unwillingly and sent a message to support…and got the same generic message about how it is being resolved and blah blah blah. So in a last ditch effort before we both give up playing a game we love, we ask for your help. I have included both of our email addresses and both of our URL’s. Thanks for your concern in this matter. I hope this can be taken care of as quick as possible.

    I am writing in regards to my VW’s account. Several weeks ago, I tried to change my name. I went to the Elders, clicked on name change and when I clicked on a button, the whole page flashed out and when it came back, my 15 favor points were gone and my name remained the same.
    I wrote to Zynga regarding the problem and have heard nothing from them. I managed to fight my way back to having enough FV to make the change. I am still waiting for my stolen FV to be returned.
    Today, I managed another FV point and last night, I had amassed 15 FV yet when I clicked on the Elder page today, it showed me as having 0! What is going on here? Why does Zynga not respond to any requests for assistance? If they can not insure that the game will run fairly for all, should they not remove it, repair it or junk it?
    I am forced to play by the rules that Zynga established; should they not hold themselves to the same standards that they expect of us who play their games?
    Losing over 25 FV points is not cool! I need them like yesterday!
    Will I even get a response to THIS inquiry?

  73. I have been playing Yoville for many many months and loved every minute of it up untill today. Today my widget factory was replaced with the sweets factory. I am so upset that now instead of logging in and clicking the factory and getting my coins i now have to pay to clean and pay to bake and then if i cant come back online in time my cookies burn and i lose all my coins. Whats up with that? I dont think this game will be as interesting as it was. I was prepared to buy yocash so i can buy all the halloween stuff, but now i dont know if ill still be playing at that time. Please change back to the widget factory or at least give me the chance to choose which factory id rather work at and when. Please dont leave my concers un answered like the forums and calls have. i LIVE in yoville, please dont make me move.

    This is in regards to Yoville, and the Sweets Factory. I was surprised to see that everyone on FB had been assigned the sweets factory, despite the fact for two weeks now, there have been protests, threads on the forum, and I am sure, many calls to the Zynga office. We did not sign up for a farming game, or to wait for pay, or to use all our coins for pay. Most of the people that I have met on this game do it while juggling real lives, kids, jobs. They do not have time to wait for a cookie to be done, then to waste more time clicking to clean ovens and make cookies again. You would know this is you read the forum. Right now the forum is no doubt being inundated by so many messages. No one is listening to the players. And as a result, on my FB feed, I have seen a torrent of Miniplanets feeds starting to replace the yoville ones on my FB page. These are yocash buying folks.
    You may consider that all of your long term players are leaving. And, your game will no longer be enticing to a new player, if they have to schedule their lives around it.
    I can only think that this decision has hurt your company in a way I am not sure can be repaired if the current decision to keep this sweets factory continues. I will no longer buy your yocash, or really support Zynga games, since I cannot safely say that the time and money that I have invested, can be safe guarded.
    It is an amazing game. Your devs have done a great job with the creation of many wonderful items, and concepts. It is a shame that it has come to this. I would not bother writing you if I did not feel very strongly about this.

    I would like to take a moment to compliment one of your Customer Relations Specialists, Pepper. Recently I have had several issues that have been personally addressed by Pepper. She has made my experiences much better than I could ever imagine. Amid many frustrating situations, Pepper has risen above and beyond the call. So much so that I have given her a new pseudonym: “Zynga Goddess”. I don’t know if she is using that name full time but I know anytime I have an issue she will take care of it. I know you receive enough complaints (yes, even from me) that it is more than appropriate that I share with you my respect for Pepper’s performance.     The problem continues. I wrote you a long email last week and I don’t see it posted or a response to it. I am now NOT able to log into the Yoville Forum, and the Zynga Support site. I have used up my 2 email addresses to open up an account on the support site but everytime I sign in, I get a message that says my email does not exist.
    How am I suppose to get some help if I can’t log into your support site? How am I suppose to get help from my fellow Yovillians if I can’t log into the forum to post questions????? This is getting ridiculous with your company. You guys are so quick to take our money but when we ask for your help, you don’t even respond. What happened to the email that i sent you last week?   79. Good day Mark. Have not stopped by in a while as for the moat part everything cept for Zynga takin 11 mil off me income in pirates, has been workin all right. Did want to ask though. have seen pirates jumpin 100-200 levels in a matter of a week. Some say it is a glitch. If so, I would like it. LOL.
    Heard others say people are scripting. Is anything being done to prevent the cheats? Ban them. Just wondering.

Reading the comments above it seems Pepper is doing a fine job :o) Many other people, however, are not getting the same service….tickets not replied to, tickets ignored for months etc etc Zynga games seems to have major problems at the moment and dozens of people have submitted tickets but your staff have yet to respond to anyone….you only need to go to Facebook and have a look at the discussion boards to see for yourself.

    I know you must be aware of the uproar that is taking place in the Yoville community over the addition of the Sweets Factory. It is highly unpopular! The multiple posts in the forums attest to that fact. Many do not understand why you would take the FUN out of the game by this new addition to the game. I cannot think of one reason why anyone in Yoville would have been unhappy with the efficiency and speed at which a decent Yoville living could be made in the Widget Factory; in contrast, the Sweets Factory is a total flop. It is a repetitive, mindless use of energy on top of penalties of paying to work in a place we do not own to burn products that we have to pay to clean up. What were you guys thinking?? Person after person is talking about how the game is not FUN anymore. After almost a month of this SF without response to overwhelming complaints of its unpopularity it is beginning to take a toll. Many people are losing crews and are talking of leaving the game.     This is not the right post for this comment but I have to ask, do you have a group of Mafia Wars players that you use to bounce ideas off of?
    I can often understand the reason behind the changes you implement to the game, but the execution and details are usually flat bad. You fix one problem only to create a bunch more. It takes us all of 5 minutes to figure out the impact of changes after they happen – why not ask before you roll them out? You could save yourself a lot of complaints and the ridiculous compensation you have granted to the big spenders.
    And by players, I don’t mean the Zynga employees with artificial stats and all the loot that ever existed. I mean real people who spend hours a day playing your game and spending money too, folks who have put in endless thought and time into building their characters.

    I was able to log in, just long enough to edit my rooms a bit. And I noticed that Zynga had made some changes to the “edit” feature. When I refreshed the page.. I kept getting a message: DB Connection Failure. One of the causes given, was “cancellation of account”. 😦
    I love playing YoVille.. and as I said in my last message to you.. would be TEMPTED to spend real money on the game. But not until ALL of these frustrating, ongoing connection issues are resolved.
    I’m very unhappy right now. Hope my ability to play YoVille will be restored, later today.

    I can’t seem to edit my rooms anymore. It worked fine until about a month ago…then it lagged forever and now I can’t edit or send gifts at all…the items never load. I have contacted Zynga about 7 times but only get stock answers. I have tried all they asked but the problem remains. I spent lots of money for items that I can no longer access. A friend uses the same computer and systems that I do and has no problems on his Yoville site so the problem is my site itself.Please help me as I no longer bother to stay and enjoy Yoville as I can’t do anything on there.

    I love love love love love Zynga games so much. It is fun to hang out/catch up with friends and relatives thousands of miles away, while playing these superfun interactive games. You totally rock and deserve your gazillions of profits and accolades.

  87. my farm has been blocked, I can’t open it and my neighbours get message unable to load farm try again later. Its not a problem with computer as my husband can get his farm up. Am getting no answers from anyone about this problem. Still waiting on reply from
    zynga support. Please try and help me sort this out as I reached level 45 and just don’t have the heart now to start up another one. yours sincerely Katherine

  88. The FB version of farmville has been increasingly frustrating. Almost 2 weekd ago I filled out an offer for gamefly, even got my first game in the mail. But no points, after I submitted my ticket and confirmation email twice in a ticket the game no longer allows me to check the status of my points. I cannot get the third party “Double Ding” to respond, and I can no longer contact them as all offers no longer load. I wrote to Zynga and received 2 responses. The first one was a scripted one that in no way addressed the problem, and the other one told me they couldn’t help at all, and I needed to click the “missing farm cash?” button, even though I have told them twice that I no longer have one. I do not know where else to go, or who to contact. Can you help?

  89. First, let me say that you guys are geniuses for coming up with these games. I’ve got employees, old friends and colleagues all playing. My law firm has become Mafia Wars central for my partners, associates and secretaries.
    I do have a complaint, however. I sent my issue to customer support only to receive a reply so inane that after spending hundreds of dollars on Mafia Wars, I won’t spend another dollar unless it is corrected. Here is the deal:
    I bought GF Points, lots of them, used them to buy skill points and put them into attack and defense which, prior to the Moscow release, was the primary method of increasing character strength.
    After the release of Moscow, Zynga changed the formula for determining fight outcomes that drastically devalued the skill points into which I had invested so much money in favor of equipment. Everyone who plays the game and everyoone at Zynga knows that this is true. Yet, Zynga replied professing ignorance and asked me to provide a screen shot showing the devaluation of my skill points.
    Just because I spent money on a silly game, please don’t insult my intelligence by pretending that this did not occur.
    As a business strategy, I’m particularly surprised that Zynga would not only refuse to correct the problem but provide such an insulting response and risk my willingness to pay real money when it would cost Zynga absolutely nothing to correct the problem.
    So, in short, I’ve stopped spending any money on Mafia Wars until someone at least responds honestly and tells me either what Zynga is willing to do or why Zynga feels that no concession to me is warranted.
    Again, my best to you with your existing games and ideas. I hope that the people working at Zynga for the most part reflect and perpetuate your ingenuity. So far that is not evident from my limited dealings with Zynga support but perhaps it is an anomaly and not par for the course.

Wish i could see who has helped me as i am the type to return the favor. Also noticed the infamous board has not been updated in quite some time. Any idea when it will be updated?   92. please tell me why on facebook i cannot enter my farm page to be on the farm, i can chat,view live and news feed,send gifts, recieve gifts everything works except the part of me actually playing on my farm, it doesnt load my farm the yellow status bar just stays 3/4th stuck even if i refreash it doesnt work! Why cant i farm!!!

    Certainly brings down the rep of zynga even if it is a paypal issue

Both my Facebook and Myspace accounts were greylisted leaving me no way of accessing any Zynga games, poker, Mafia Wars,etc, etc. I see that my chips are still there from friends/buddies screens however I can not sign on to the account to access them. I cannot get customer support as I no longer have a URL to supply them with. There needs to be a mechanism to reach your game applications when your account has been closed. HELP!….Liana

  96. I have been having HUGE issues with Scramble. This game just lags and lags and lags. I have a brand new pc – Windows 7, 2.7 AMD , 6 gigs OF RAM 750 GB hard drive up to date EVERYTHING and this game still lags to the point I cannot even play it anymore. I am playing it on facebook and have no problems with any other games ( zynga poker) or games from others I REALLY wish I could resolve this issue. Oh I should add it’s just when I play live not solo

    1. friends and family
    2 Mafia war friends
    3. other
    I want to be able to filter out one or the other,,,most of the time just want mafia wars to come down feed page.
    but I do not want to loose contract with friends, family or others either. Please how can we do this now with the new feed page?
    By the way I like what you have done to facebook. I like the new feed page..
    BUT also have trouble getting to other games. Thanks
