  1. very nice of you Mark that you tried to help us,thanks a lot.I recived response from cuustomer support yesterday that was ok.What was not ok is that you people returned me only 400.000 chips,and i was hacked for exectly 400.000.000(MILIONS)chips.I am very greatfull for your response but loool they returned me 400k,forgive me,i am laughing all day long,and i am willing to give this 400k to help some of smaller hacked player,i just dont need this amount of chips,lool,thats not even 10 percent of my hacking chips.But i must admit zynga custumor service is running a god job here it was quick respons,lol but Mark seriosly returned 400k for hacked 400 milions:(

    This (ultra-hyperbolic, hysterical analogy – now players are criminals and FB/Zynga are cops, setting up stings), from one of your Zynga forum mods, whose moniker is Bandilero, on the issue of your company encouraging adds (a Zynga forum section devoted to adds, screens that show up upon login and encourage us to add more friends and send them items, et al), while fully aware that Facebook punishes accounts for too many adds (and to make it worse, FB won’t reveal the parameters). KNOCK IT OFF MARK! You have a duty to communicate and smoothly interface with the people you develop apps for, so for Pete’s sake, take some damned responsibility here.
    I don’t want excuses about how he is just a mod or whatever or how people should automagically know that they are adding too many people. He is representing your company. I can guarantee this is not helping your company’s popularity – there are dozens upon dozens of FB groups devoted to this issue. All you need to do is give a warning as part of the tutorial. Or perhaps, if this is how you prefer to operate, you can just have your forum mods ridicule people, as if they “should have known better!”, keep leading them to FB infractions, and sneer at them like your mods do, when they run afoul. That’s some wicked customer service, YO!
    This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard from a software development rep, and I work in the industry, so I had thought that I had heard it all.

  3. hi 🙂 nice to speak to you this feels horrible to say and i am sooorry but i am the type of person that speaks what he thinks. I think that the zynga surport is rubbish iv send like 15 e-mails to there surport telling about my lost chips and i got one reply saying’ thank you for contacting zynga custormer service your request has been taken further we will reply within 48 hrs. They sent me that 4 weeks ago and still havent done anything. I am disapointed in a way i thought they would be able to help me and speak to me in more detail as i have taken my time to write to them and tell me freinds about zynga i would think they would help me a bit more.   4. wow, someone actually got a response from zynga!! I am ammazed as i have contaced them about 10 times and each time i get a number then a reply that says my problem has been solved, i guess delete is a new way of solving problem…. i was hacked of 289 im february i am still waiting

  5. Hello Mark, I wanted to thank you so much for giving me the email of chrish@zynga to get get my 420mil back that was hacked. I have been going through a very difficult time in my life for the last couple years. I luckily found Zynga on January of this year. I have never played or met people online. Didn’t even know what the chat box was.lol. I’ve been so lucky and grateful to have met several wonderful people that I would have never met without Zynga. They are my peeps, become my true friends. I couldn’t manage without seeing my their tiny pics on my Mac. When I was hacked of 420mil, I was so upset, I felt I had accomplished something to from 2k. I was directed to your blog from my friend Terry and posted my situation. You emailed me right away and directed me to Chris. I was doubtful that anything would be done, since I got a email from Zynga that I was banned. I knew it was a mistake because I was able to log into my account. I couldn’t believe it when my chips were restored! Zynga is not just a poker site for me, it’s a place to connect with people all over the world. I believe many people feel the same way. I suggest all the player to report anyone selling or wanting to buy chips, and the annoying Bots. I believe the hackers and those people who are so greedy to sell chips can be eliminated with the help of the players. Thank you Mark for taking the time to help me and thank you Chris for restoring my chips. You both made my day! I’ve just been jumping table to table to tell all my buddies the good news. They couldn’t believe it. It’s funny, but true that a little thing like restoring fake chips can bring so much joy to myself and my friends.
    I have a saying ‘Little simple joyful moments leads to a joyful life.’ One of my dreams is for me to meet all my eight peeps in Vegas, hope that happens for us. I will let you know when that day comes.

  6. Its nice to hear and see people getting their accts unbanned. Im still waiting since day 1. As many nice things that I have said about ZYnga…..how many friends I brought in to play and who even bought from them so they could play with me. Saddens me I am still banned. WHY?

  7. I have been playing Zynga poker for well over a year now. I had nearly 250 friends in poker and 2.4 billion poker chips. I have spent over $800 buying chips from your company (between myself, my husband, and my kids in the last year)
    About a week ago my account was banned and I was given an email address to write to (pokerpriority@zynga.com) After waiting 2-3 days for a response I was told that my account was banned for “illegal chip transfer” and I had to wait over 2 weeks just to get through to someone, let alone open my account. I have phoned your offices and was told that my chips had been reduced to 0.
    I have no idea what an “illegal chip transfer is” but I just want to say that neither myself nor any member of my family will ever play this game again or spend any money with your company, and I will make sure to repeat my experience to any and every person who brings up zynga poker in the future.
    I can understand wanting to be tough on hackers or scammers, but in the process you are alienating and bullying loyal players and innocent people. I have heard from numerous other players and friends who have had the same thing happen to them. They are moms or bus drivers or lunch ladies at elementary schools, not hackers and thieves.
    I know theres a million other players who will continue playing your game and my loss means very little or nothing to you, but at least I got to speak my mind.

    Ha, that’s a joke!
    He reviewed mine and said I never had the chips I say were stolen, yet I have a computer screenshot of me playing with almost 4 billion in chips, this was the night of the theft.
    Yet, you, he and several others refuse to help and ignore me.
    Which in turn makes me even more upset and more harsh.
    You really need to upgrade your CS department, we’re not fools here…

What is the problem with asking friends to join you on texas holdem, I had 1 billion chips and he got 700 on joining, I gave him a million chips and then I was banned, giving chips to friends should not be against any social gaming site, why recommend friends when they cannot play a higher stake tables with you, Zynga you are disgusting for banning friends accounts, review your social policies please

Hello, zynga unfarily took me 17m chpis.To be honest I am given chpis to my friends but never, I repeat,never sold to them, I guarantee you, I have never been sold chips, I have never been bought chips.Its interesting that in the period when I was between 1 – 3m, and provided I cihips before that, after that I did not give any chpis 7-10 days, and only when I have gone to 17m zynga punish me!And my friend who have about 1-2 milion give the chpish all the time,and they dont punish them,because they just punished us with 10m nad more,i think its really unfair. Now I have 150 chips … If somehow you are able to resolve my problem was very grateful to you.

  13. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Zynga start enforcing the terms and conditions as a direct/indirect result of 3rd party sellers and hackers cutting into revenues for Zynga?
    Several issues I think need to be addressed:
    First, as a player, I get tired of seeing bots at tables that circumvent blinds, especially big blinds tables.
    Second, the spammers/hackers are constantly bombarding the table chats trying to lure unsuspecting users to log in to their fake copy of the login page to steal their password. They are very annoying as they jump in, spam and jump out of the room.
    These are the same people you are warning us about and have instituted enforcing the terms and condition policy.
    However, the majority of the hackers/spammers/3rd party chip sellers continue and circumvent your “new” measures, while the majority of average users who DID share with friends and did NOT sell from these illegal activities have been suspended or banned due to these new measures.
    What is funny is that Zynga actually thinks its doing the right thing. Yes, I am one of those that did share with my friends as my friends did with me when I was running low on chips. So, as a result I had 2 options as well. Admit cheating by getting 10% or 1 Million max and instantly start playing -OR- have my account suspended while my account investigated which can take up to 2-3 weeks.
    WOW! Why not a check box to say, DID You cheat YES or NO? or Do you want to bend over, because we are gonna stick it to you? YES or NO?
    I have never bought/sold chips from/to 3rd party, friends OR Zynga. I will never buy them either, and neither will my friends as its a recreational game.
    Do I want my account reinstated? YES.
    Am I gonna beg? NO.
    What better advertising do you have than word of mouth from the users. I can tell you I used to tell people come play poker on Zynga with me. I no longer do that nor will I ever again. I’m sure alot of other ticked off users will do the same. Expect some backlash from banned and nonbanned users as I’m sure you are already aware of.
    If we really look at it, Zynga is actually PROMOTING gambling by selling “play” chips, and Zynga is profitting from those that have a social gambling addiction.
    By assigning a value to chips and selling them, Zynga has “circumvented” gambling laws and could end up in legal trouble, even though its “play chips”. REAL casinos give out chips for real money too, how is Zynga any different other than NON regulated.
    Just some food for thought for everyone!

    I have lost cars on your SR app that i paid for with real money………..IF YOU EVER BOTHERED TO READ ANY OF THE FORUMS, COMPLAINTS, OR EMAILS YOUR COMAPANY RECEIVED DAILY FROM PPL THEN YOU WOULD KNOW THIS.
    I have emailed you on so many occasions to be told………..my case is closed……..how can you close it when you never investigated it?????
    Quit emploting monkeys and get some real people with some real qualifacations to sort the games out.

  16. This is sad to know that your people do not investigate thier cases BEFORE the act. I have not been banned or had a problem, other than Vampire wars is extremely slow now, and your banning the WRONG players, people who catually play the game and don’t cheat. and letting people who cheat continue and ruin the game for us that do. In the future I’d recomend you put and pay people to monitor actions in game, it isn’t that hard, I used to do it for Gamestorm, just have to have a master paid overseer to over see in game opps and allow the ingame ops rudimentary control ability, to be able to boot for a day, ban for a week, or submit the accout to the higher’s up for oversite and permentent banning of that character account. that was how we basically did it in Aliens Online If you knew that game. you can contact me if you want to know a little more, but like I said I was just an in game Op with basic abilities

  17. Are you aware that your company has banned numerous players for using a paid service? Did you know that false advertising is illegal? Multiple people who play Vampire Wars on Facebook have been banned for PAYING CASH for favor points and reallocating their stats into Energy. What that does is make the character level faster but Zynga has now accused those players of “botting” and banned them. Not only were they banned from the game but also the forum and Zynga site, thus making it impossible to contact Customer Service. That violates Facebook’s TOS for developers. So not only is your company teetering on the edge of illegality for advertising a paid service and then preventing people from using it by banning them, it is also in violation of contract with Facebook.

  18. This games is far too slow now and it doesn’t matter how many times we complain it just gets worse! I like alot of other vampire war players are getting fed up now and I may join the rest and stop playing! Shame really used to be quick and fun, now just painfully slow and unreliable.

    To avoid any doubt I DENY any allegation I have boken your terms of service. Kindley provide me with evidence that backs up your statement that I have broken your terms. You seem to be suggesting that
    a) I’m a hacker
    b) I’m a chip seller
    C) something else
    You are unable to verify that fact that i was hacked on the 11th May 2009 the kindly verify your point and provide evidence as per your CEO’s web blog I would expect an answer within 72 hours.
    A friend as informed me that my chip count has been reduced from 300+ M to 800K as he can see me in his buddies list can you also explain this.

    Could this be the reason you are unable to verify the loss – Customer claims that May 11th the chips were stolen. In SAR tool May 11th Data is not available.
    So are you saying you will not re-open my account and the only way I can start playing again is to have my chips re set to 1M. This would mean a total loss of 800M chips as I was HACKED for 500M and now because I was hacked you are taking away the 300M I had. Can you tell me what I am supposed to have done which breaks your terms. The time and date and and the person I’m supposed to have been given chips to and the ammount of chips I have given them. You must be able to verify this if your using this as a reason for suspending my account. I DO NOT AGREE to take 1M chips to have my account re-opened. I would like the account restored with 303M chips in prior to the account being suspended or I would like to verify the above.

    Your CEO advised inhis blog that if there was no reply after 48 hrs to re contact customer services. It seems that becuause I was hacked i’m being punished by zynga. Will you re-open my account with the 300M in it or not ?

    the reference number for the ticket i logged on the 11th May is 090511-002526 – this was logged I would say with in a hour maybe two of my chips being hacked as i had been playing poker that night logged off and then came back to play again. i do not agree to take 1m chips to re join the game as I have not done anything wrong.

    I do not understand how you are unable to verify that my account was hacked – I reported this on 11th May with in an hour of it happening. My account went from 503M to 3.1M and I have also sent you a screen shot which shows what was in my account.On the 17th May I had an e-mail from Chris Hinton saying to bare with you guys and it would take aprrox 2 weeks to look into On the 4th June I had another e-mail saying to had been passed to a tier 2 person to look into. Then on the 12th June my account was suspended.
    I had managed to re-build my chips to over 300M. Are you saying that you will restore my account but without the 500M lost via hackers?

    Hi i have alerday responded to the 120 hr warning e-mail about getting back to you and the situation is still the same. I was hacked for 500M left with 3M. Built this back upto 300m then you closed my account. So I would like my account re opened with the 300M I had in and the 500M restored to my account on top of that.

    I have already logged a ticket about being hacked for 500M chips I have not been transfered chips and I do not agree to have my account restored to the value of 1M when I had 300M in my account. When I lost the 500M from my account I had been reading your news update and I was left with 3M chips. I do not buy and I do not sell chips yet the sellers are I’m told by friends still playing very active. Instead of baning people who come on here just to play with friends you should be making an effort to make sure the site is secure for people playing and why is it these sellers when they send messages in chat window never appear in the list of active players? There’s a lot of abuse on the poker tables racist and sexual abuse which I always report. I have also reported people for selling chips. I think you have targeted the wrong people and a lot of groups have formed over the last weeks in protest to the way you have treated people and the lack of customer support when things do !
    go wrong. You have the date logged on your system for the last time for when the chips vanished out of my account and I have had 2 emails about it. If these missing chips are the reason why my account looks funky then I’m sorry for the rant. Thank you in advance Gillian

  20. You guys just don’t understand. If Zynga said they’re going to give you 10% ($1,000,000) then just leave it as that. If you want your 500M chips back, Zynga is going to need REAL proof, maybe a screen video of you losing your money. 10% is better then nothing, thats what you don’t understand. AND IT’S JUST A GAME!!! I lost 450K chips on a 10k-20k betting table, and I was the only one on the table that had PRO 250K. I HAD $0. I DIDN’T CRY ABOUT IT!!!! THAT’S HOW THE GAME WORKS. IF YOU GOT A BAD HAND, YOU LOSE,, SIMPLE!!!!

  23. Dear Mark,
    My facebook account was hacked and in turn my email account.
    Facebook is still looking in to the matter to which I am grateful for their help.
    I have been trying to ask Farmville if they could take my original farm off of this old email address and extend it to the new one I created on AOL:
    I have been asking for a week and got one response, today…a new farm and help with cash.
    I have been asking everyday if Farmville could take my old farm from the original email account (that was hacked) and transfer my farm to my new AOL account.
    No one is answering this question.
    I really would like my old farm back as I have gift’s on that farm from family that is no longer with me.
    Please Help!
    I just want my old farm back but on my new AOL account.
